ASSIST-Fertility, UK provides therapeutic services for couples contemplating or undergoing fertility programme. The services aim to help couples rethink infertility and stay psychologically stable as they go through the process of assisted conception. ASSIST-Fertility, UK provides face-to-face services to patients from a number of fertility centres, clinics and hospitals in the London metropolitan area. We also offer telephone consultations and therapy to patients outside the United Kingdom.
DR OBY's MESSAGE: TIME IS OF ESSENCE IN FERTILITY TREATMENT SUCCESS RATE: ACT NOW!!
The chart below shows 'Age versus Outcome' of fertility treatment (Datta, 2018). The study offered that there is an inverse relationship between age and positive outcome to fertility treatment. Hence, the earlier infertility is diagnosed and treatment commenced, the better the outcome! The barriers (psychological, cultural, religious, medical, financial etc) to early diagnosis need to be identified and persistently dismantled if we are to meet our goal of increasing the success rate of fertility treatments.
This year's ISMAAR International Congress was held at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, London. It was the 9th World Congress on Mild Approach in Assisted Reproduction and it marked the 40th anniversary of human In-vitro fertilisation (IVF) with the first 'test-tube baby' (Louise brown) present to grace the occasion (See her picture below)
